🏠 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Housing for All (Urban) [PMAY-HFA(U)]

Launched: 25th June 2015

Objective: To provide affordable housing for all urban poor by the year 2022.

🔹 Key Features:

  • Targets Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Low Income Groups (LIG), and Middle Income Groups (MIG).
  • Focuses on slum rehabilitation, affordable housing through partnerships, credit-linked subsidies, and individual house construction/enhancement.

🏗️ Four Components:

  1. In-situ Slum Redevelopment (ISSR)
  2. Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP)
  3. Credit-Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS)
  4. Beneficiary-Led Construction (BLC)
  • Central government provides up to ₹1.5 lakh per house (varies by component).
  • State government provides up to ₹1.93 lakh per house for BLC mode
  • Interest subsidies up to 6.5% under CLSS for eligible home loans.
